The CEO of the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA), Mark Degotardi, appeared on ABC Radio National to discuss the implications of the HAFF Round 3 announcement for community housing providers and households across Australia.
During the interview, Mark underscored the importance of a sustainable, long-term housing pipeline, which has been bolstered by the following milestones:
- Nearly 900 homes completed
- 9,500 homes are currently under construction
- 9,000 homes in the planning stages
- An additional 21,000 homes are supported through the latest announcement

He also emphasised the growing and robust partnership between community housing providers and Housing Australia, a collaboration that will be critical in delivering the homes announced as the next funding round opens in 2025.
