CHIASA today announced the appointment of Peter Rutter as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Peter is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of steady, results-driven leadership. He will oversee the organisation’s operations and strategic direction during this transition period, engaging with Members, Government and Stakeholders.
Peter brings extensive experience leading through change and delivering measurable outcomes. He is widely recognised for bringing teams together, sharpening organisational focus, and turning vision into concrete results – qualities that position CHIASA to move forward with clarity and confidence.
“Peter’s leadership will ensure we maintain CHIASA’s renewed momentum for collaboration across the Community Housing Sector in SA, strong advocacy, policy reform and shared learning,” said Michelle Gegenhuber, Board Chair at CHIASA. “We need to unite the sector, government at all levels, stakeholders and business around a shared goal to increase social and affordable housing supply in SA, and translate this strategy into new homes for those most vulnerable in our community. We are confident the organisation will continue to grow and deliver for our stakeholders under Peter’s interim direction.”
